Workflow

How a transaction moves through our desk.

We work to standard commodity trade procedures. Documentation is issued in accepted international formats. We reject deal structures that depend on upfront payments, non-bank instruments, or unverifiable proof of product.

  1. 01

    LOI / RFQ

    Buyer submits a Letter of Intent or RFQ with product, target volume, delivery terms, destination port, and bankability of funds.

  2. 02

    Soft Corporate Offer / FCO

    We issue an SCO or refinery FCO referencing the relevant Platts / Argus / ICE benchmark with disclosed premium or discount.

  3. 03

    Draft Contract & POP

    On agreed terms, we exchange a draft SPA with seller documents — refinery commitment, allocation, and proof of product.

  4. 04

    Banking instruments

    Buyer issues SBLC / DLC / SLOC from a prime bank. We coordinate seller-side performance bond (PB) where required.

  5. 05

    Vessel nomination & loading

    Vessel nominated and inspected (SGS / Bureau Veritas). Cargo loads on spec; SGS Q&Q certificates issued.

  6. 06

    Discharge & settlement

    Cargo discharges against negotiable documents. Settlement and brokerage are paid at completion of transaction.
